Registration

• Q. What is included in my registration?

  A. Two full-days of in-person workshops and sessions and an invitation to attend our social event.

• Q. What is included in the "Limited Live Stream" ticket?

  A. You will have access to seven live streaming sessions. There will be no audience engagement with in-person attendees or presenters. These sessions will be monitored by IT Support only. The chat feature will be available for online attendees to request tech support if needed.

• Q. How soon can I register?

  A. Registration opened on July 26, 2023.

• Q. When is the last day that I can register?

  A. The last day to register is October 25, 2023, at 11:55 PM PT.

• Q. What if I need to cancel my registration?

  A. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11:55 p.m. PT is the last day to cancel and receive a refund. If you cancel, your registration fee will be refunded less $25.00 + GST. Refunds will be issued after the event and will not be given to no shows. We encourage you to transfer your registration to another person if you are unable to attend. Please contact events@bccampus.ca for any cancellation and transfer requests.

• Q. I’ve misplaced my conference receipt. How do I get a replacement?

  A. Contact events@bccampus.ca to request a duplicate receipt.

• Q. How do I register?

  A. Visit the Registration page to find the link to register online. Payment is accepted by credit or debit card through Stripe. If you are unable to pay through Stripe, email us at events@bccampus.ca and we can make other arrangements.

• Q. What if I have trouble or need help registering?

  A. Please email us at events@bccampus.ca and we can connect by phone or online to help you.

• Q. Can I register and pay for one day only?

  A. We are only offering a two-day registration rate for Studio23. If you can only attend one day, you are welcome to send another person for the day you cannot make it. Email us at events@bccampus.ca if you will be sharing your registration.

The Studio23 Event

• Q. Where is Studio23 being held?

  A. The Studio23 event will take place in-person at Simon Fraser University, at the Harbour Centre Campus, 515 W Hastings St, Vancouver, B.C.

• Q. How long is the event?

  A. The event is two days long. Times are approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m each day. There will be a social event November 1, approximately 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• Q. COVID-19 Information

  A. We acknowledge and respect that everyone has their own comfort levels regarding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Although province-wide event restrictions have been lifted, we encourage everyone to do what feels right for them, including wearing masks or physical distancing if desired. Please be mindful that your fellow guests may not want hugs or handshakes and always ask first. Hand sanitizer will be strategically placed throughout the venue and we will have a supply of masks at the registration desk. Please read our Health Plan for more information.

• Q. Will there be a recording of the event?

  A. Keynote recordings will be posted online after the event.

• Q. Will you be streaming the event?

  A. Due to the focus of the event being workshop formats, we will only be streaming a select number of streamable sessions.

• Q. Who is expected to attend Studio23?

  A. Studio23 is designed for B.C. post-secondary faculty, instructors, facilitators, and educators.

• Q. What do I wear?

  A. Where comfortable clothes and shoes.

• Q. What do I need to bring?

  A. Supplies will provided, but bring a pen just in case.

• Q. What if I don’t want my picture taken?

  A. We will identify you by your name tags with either a red lanyard or red dot. In the event our photographer catches you in a background photo, this will help us identify you and make sure we do not publish the photo post-production.

• Q. Are there any social events planned?

  A. Yes, at the end of the first day, Nov. 1, we will be hosting a mixology networking event. Drinks and appies will be provided.

• Q. What if I need a break during the conference?

  A. A dedicated Quiet Room will be located on the Upper Level in room 2065, the Diamond Alumni Lounge. You will be able to lay down, sit, mediate and rest however you need. It will be a quiet, intimate space.

• Q. How can I receive updates on the Studio23 event?

  A. To receive email updates, please subscribe to the BCcampus newsletter.

• Q. Are you offering childcare and how does childcare work?

  A. Yes, we are offering childcare provided by West Childcare Connection. When you register for Studio23, you will be asked if you need childcare during the event. If you answer yes, our organizers will be in direct contact with you with further information.
